Playhouse provides children with a once in a lifetime opportunity to perform on stage in front of friends, family and public audiences, alongside other schools in the project.

Proven to see a transformation across children’s learning, understanding and awareness of theatre making and across their soft and social skills. The children take part in fun workshops in their schools to introduce them to creative play and drama techniques. They will also gain experience in ‘behind the scenes’ of their local professional theatre and help them to gain knowledge and skills on how to bring a play to life on stage.

Children will perform high-quality, age appropriate scripts that have been specially commissioned by a professional playwright and will feature themes that will be relevant and topical to them. In bringing their characters to life, children will be able to have heartfelt, authentic conversations about big issues in the world today and learn to express themselves freely as they experience the joy of theatre.
